Hestavaðsfoss

Hestavaðsfoss is a beautiful waterfall located in the south of Iceland, close to the town of Hella. Hestavaðsfoss is best admired from the other side of the river Rangá, where its slender cascade can be seen spilling into a small shallow pool surrounded by lush green vegetation and sharp cliffs. There is also a hiking trail that leads to the waterfall, which follows along the river for a couple of kilometers. The hike is easy and can be done in just 15 minutes each way. The area around the waterfall provides a wealth of opportunities for photography, from close-ups of the cascade to wide-angle shots of the stunning Icelandic landscape. There is even an old abandoned farm nearby which makes for an interesting subject.
