Friedrich Ebert Brücke is a six-span bridge spanning the River Rhine in Mannheim, Germany. The bridge was built between 1954 and 1958, and is named after a former German President, Friedrich Ebert. It has recently been refurbished and upgraded and is a prominent feature of the Mannheim cityscape. The bridge provides a great view of the river and its banks. On the western side of the bridge, visitors can see the Carl Benz Arena, which hosts a number of sporting events and concerts. On the eastern side are the famous industrial buildings at the Water Tower, popular with photographers. Visitors can also catch a glimpse of the impressive baroque Mannheim Palace, an 18th century palace built for the Elector of the Palatinate. There is a pedestrian walkway on the bridge, perfect for a leisurely stroll and a chance to take in the view.
