The Far de Favaritx, in Majorca, Spain, is an impressive navigational signal tower, standing at 20 meters and 17 meters wide at its base. The construction of the signal tower began in 1845, when King Fernando VII laid the first stone. It watches over the majestic Mediterranean Sea and is one of the most successful works of engineer, project leader, and islander Antonio Riquer.

Visiting the Far de Favaritx will provide you with an incredible view of the Mediterranean, along with the local mountains and other minor isles. There are also impressive archaeological remains, such as Cabo Regana, a Roman Period settlement and the remains of a pre-historic talayotic settlement. The Far de Favaritx is open daily and admission is free. There are also many restaurants and cafés nearby as well as a picturesque beach. This makes it a great place to take a break and have a picnic to enjoy the stunning views. Make sure to check out the Far de Favaritx for an off-the-beaten-path experience.
