The Emperor William Monument, located in Porta Westfalica, Germany, is a symbol of German unification. It stands at the narrowest point of the Weser River, in the foothills of the Weser Mountains. The annual celebration of the National Day of Unity is celebrated here with a large fire, music and readings from local writers.
