El Portal Road

El Portal Road, a 12-mile long road located in Foresta, California, is one of the most scenic routes in the Yosemite National Park. Passing through towering pine trees, meadows, rivers and various rock formations, this picturesque drive offers breathtaking views of the park's great wonders. Wildlife like deer, coyotes, and birds are also abundant in the area. Some of the most notable natural attractions of the journey include 25 Mile Creek, Indian Rock and Mariposa Grove. The road also leads up to the iconic Tunnel View, a majestic Yosemite Valley panorama. There are several park designated pull outs along the journey with plenty of parking opportunities, allowing visitors to enjoy short hikes to explore more of the park.
