It is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and is the seat of the Bishop of Verona. Built in Romanesque style, the cathedral construction began in 12th-century and was finished in 1522. Its structure offers a mix of Renaissance, Gothic and Romanesque elements. The main façade presents an impressive set of arches on the portico, topped with a 19th-century sculpture of the Madonna and Child. Inside, there are a number of works that stands out, including the Renaissance clock by Veronese master Galeazzo Mondella, and the Chapel of the Sacrament, among others.
