Inside the cathedral, visitors can admire a beautiful Renaissance-style doorway, several paintings, a Baroque organ and a 16th century baptismal font. The Romanesque-style cloister, built with stones and bricks, is another highlight of the cathedral. It houses a unique garden, the only one in the world that contains azaleas, ferns and other exotic plants. From the terrace, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the city. Furthermore, the cathedral also has a crypt, which contains the tombs of some of Spain’s most famous rulers, such as Alfonso VIII.
