Church of the Holy Cross

The Church of the Holy Cross is a stunning Catholic Church in Rzeszów, Poland. It was consecrated in 1871 and is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city. The church was built in the Baroque and Art Nouveau styles and features a tall 80m spire with four clocks. The interior of the church contains many impressive works of art, including intricate stucco decorations and a painting of the Holy Cross which was painted by Jan Matejko. The church also boasts a crypt, two confessionals, a water fountain, and a collection of historic artifacts. The Church of the Holy Cross is a great spot to take in one of Rzeszów's beautiful views of the Wisłok and Wisloka rivers. Tours are available on weekends and Mondays, and visitors can take a stroll around the surrounding park and take in the impressive architecture.
