Chimney Rock

Chimney Rock is a geographical formation located near Bayard, Nebraska in the United States. The solitary spire of Chimney Rock rises from the North Platte River valley to a majestic height of 300 feet. This striking landmark, composed of Brule clay and volcanic ash that has been hardened by time and weather, was an important compass point for travelers heading west on the Oregon, California, and Mormon Trails.
