It was built between 1178 and 1260 by the Cistercians of the Episcopate of Como. It is a beautiful example of Lombard Romanesque architecture, with a single nave, a truss ceiling, a slightly sloping floor, and an apse with a crypt underneath. On the exterior of the church, you can find an entry portal with a Lombard band, three windows and the bell tower. Inside, the church has a wooden ceiling and several frescoes, the most remarkable of which is a triptych from 16th century.
