
The Statue of Liberty is a world-renowned monument located on Liberty Island, off the coast of New York City. The iconic copper figure stands 151 feet tall, with a 7-point star placed atop her crown. She has become known as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The statue is accessible by ferry from either Battery Park in Manhattan or Liberty State Park in New Jersey. At the base of the Statue, visitors can learn more about its history and symbolism, as well as admire the grandeur of the monument. After the ferry ride, visitors can take an elevator to the top of the pedestal and gain a stunning view of New York City and the surrounding harbor. The crown is closed to the public due to limited accessibility.
