The Buda Castle Funicular is a historic railway system that connects the banks of the Danube River in the city of Budapest, Hungary. It was originally built in 1870 and has been an important transportation method for locals and tourists alike ever since. The railway runs between the Clark Adam Square in the Buda Castle District and the Adam Clark Square on the Pest side of the city. The ride takes approximately 2 minutes and offers stunning views of the city and the river below. Fares can be purchased at the lower and upper stations, with discounts available for students and seniors. The Funicular runs every day between 7:30 am and 10 pm, with extended hours during the summer months. It is a convenient and efficient way to reach the Buda Castle and offers a unique and picturesque experience for photo-travelers.
