📍 Från Oberwasserstraße, Germany
The Bet- und Lehrhaus Petriplatz is an interesting piece of architecture located in Berlin, Germany. Designed in 1960 by architect Karl J. Peters, the building is a great example of postwar modernism in the city. It's a two-story building of reinforced concrete, with façades made of brick and glass. Inside, there's a large circular skylight at the center of a hall, where former church furniture is kept in display. There are also three levels of inner courtyards, with a café, a memorial plaque and an area with plants. You can also find a few steps that lead to Petriplatz, where there's an interesting bronze sculpture called Petriabend that legend says symbolizes the end of all quarrels. All in all, Bet- und Lehrhaus Petriplatz is a must visit GDR-era building for anyone interested in architecture and the history of Berlin.
