📍 Poland
Zamek Chojnik is a 13th century castle located in Jelenia Góra, Poland. The ruins of the original castle were reconstructed in the early 19th century and remain open to the public. The castle features Gothic and Baroque architecture and many historical artifacts, such as furniture and paintings. Visitors can explore the castle, visit the exhibition hall and climb the terrace tower to the battlements. The ruins are located on a hill offering excellent views of Karkonosze Mountains, the Jelenia Góra valley, and the nearby Czech Republic. The castle hosts weekly events including live music, parades, theatrical performances, and fireworks. On Sundays during summer, visitors can take part in historical re-enactments of 15th-century tournaments and archery displays. Parking is available at the foot of the mountain.
