Schloss Sanssouci, in Potsdam, Germany, is the largest and most impressive palace in the country. The beautiful 18th century Baroque palace was once the summer residence of Frederick the Great, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is set in the beautiful 175-acre Sanssouci Park, with numerous fountains, terraces and sculptures. You can explore some of the other palaces around the grounds, such as the Orangery Palace and the New Palace. Visitors also have the opportunity to check out the Frederick the Great museum and the dome library. There are also numerous churches, gardens and villas to explore; all of which are worth a visit.
