
The San Diego Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in San Diego, California. It is the 19th temple of the Church, and a historic landmark. It was built in 1965 and is capped by a gold-leafed statue of Moroni (the angel who appeared to Joseph Smith). The temple boasts a unique architectural design and a pond and fountain decorated with colorful tiles. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, which take approximately 30 minutes. Outside the temple, there is also a Visitors’ Center, with interactive displays and information about the Church and its teachings. Guests are welcome to take photographs on the temple grounds, but should be respectful of the area's religious significance.
