Salzwiesen - From Damm, Germany
Salzwiesen, meaning “Salt Meadows”, is a beautiful coastal area located on the island of Spiekeroog, Germany. The area consists of salt marshes, dunes, and long stretches of beach set between the North Sea and the Wadden Sea. Visitors to Salzwiesen can enjoy a wide variety of activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, and bird watching. The area also provides access to several nature trails which allow visitors to explore the diverse flora and fauna over several kilometers. Salzwiesen is also used extensively as a breeding ground for several species of ducks and geese and visitors can see plenty of them during the autumn and winter months.
