Reflection Church of Saint Peter and Paul Historic Site in Singapore is an excellent spot to witness the city's heritage. It is a Roman Catholic Church, built in 1836 and is the oldest functioning Catholic Church in Singapore today. The Church was originally a clapboard construction, and hence was replaced in 1848 with a brick structure. An interesting highlight of the church is the Neo-Classical designed tower, arched windows, and original belfry, which still exists. Visitors can also observe sculptures depicting scenes from the Bible and several monuments located inside the Church. The church is known for its historic Stone Cross, erected in 1843, which is dedicated to the place's founder. The Church, historically regarded as a symbol of freedom from oppression and colonial rule, is a popular tourist attraction owing to its unique beauty and grandeur.
