Palazzo Ducale is an impressive baroque palace located in the heart of Genoa, Italy. The ancient building was the main residence of the Doges of Genoa and was designed by Giorgio Vasari in 1560. It consists of several rooms, each adorned with frescoes and historical decorations. The exterior of the palace is flanked by two bell towers, adding to the majestic architecture. Within the palace, you can enjoy a fine collection of artworks, including paintings by Caravaggio, and sculptures by Borromini. After admiring the main hall, visitors can also explore the inner palaces, the various gardens and staircases, the theater, the library and state rooms, as well as the terraces and courtyards.
