The Palazzo dei Consoli in Gubbio, Italy is a medieval palace situated in the heart of Gubbio. It was built at the beginning of the 13th century and has been home to a number of notable families and is one of the oldest capitals in Italy. It is the largest monument in the entire city, standing at 37 meters tall! The building boasts of a unique architectural style with its round arches, pointed windows and relief friezes. On the south side of the palace, one can find numerous historical coat of arms belonging to the different families that have resided there. The ground floor has several beautiful frescos which date back to the 14th century and depict the abdication of the Luogotenente della Lombardia. Other highlights of the building include the immense Torrione Toraldo, the courtyard and its magnificently decorated loggia.
