Palacio Salvo - Uruguay
The striking Palacio Salvo in Montevideo, Uruguay, is a notable landmark in the city centre. Built between 1925 and 1928, it was the tallest building in South America until 1935. The design, inspired by Italian tower-houses, features a bulbous gothic cupola and an irregularly-shaped dome at the top. Its ornamental sculptures, ornate balconies, and intricate stucco trimmings make for a captivating sight. Today, it is still a symbol of the wealth and reflectiveness of Montevideo's golden age. Its terrace provides spectacular views of the city, the Montevideo Bay, and even some parts of Punta del Este. It is a great spot to get some of the city's best snaps!
