Mosquée village Azrou is a beautiful historic village near Akerrou, Algeria. The Mosque itself was built in 1230, and dominates the village and the surrounding landscape. Despite being a small village of only 30 homes, Mosquée village Azrou is known for its traditional architecture and warm hospitality. The most famous architectural element is the main door, built from thick wooden logs and studded with red and brown stones. The wall of the mosque also contains some paintings, giving it a unique style. Its location also makes it an excellent place for hiking, bird-watching, and sightseeing.
