Monument to Felipe IV - Spain
The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland is the perfect spot for adventure seekers and photographers. With its imposing cliffs, stunning beaches, and hexagonal basalt columns, this World Heritage site has become a popular tourist destination. This immense area of basalt columns, created by a powerful volcanic event 60 million years ago, stretches for over 6 km along the Antrim Coast. Walk along the winding pathways and take in the incredible vista. There is a cobbled path that winds its way around the southern part of the columns, and pathways and stairs connecting various levels of the cliffs. Take a boat trip to the sea caves carved out of the base of the cliffs and access more of the coastline. Take a tour of the Visitors Centre to learn about the mythological Giants opening up the causeway. There is so much to explore!
