Lake Garda - From Torbole, Italy
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy, lying between Venice and Milan in the Lombardy region. Nago-Torbole is situated on the northern end of the lake, a short distance south of the Austrian border. It is a popular tourist destination and also a favorite of windsurfers, thanks to its steady and consistent winds. The slopes of Monte Baldo mountains provide stunning views over the lake and surrounding countryside. The most popular activity here is windsurfing, which has earned Nago-Torbole the nickname 'the world's windsurfing capital'. The village also features quaint cobbled streets, a small harbor, and a pebble beach. Boat trips are available on the lake and the nearby city of Riva offers an interesting selection of shops, restaurants, and cafes. The area is ideal for quiet walks and bird watching.
