Katara Multi-Purpose Hall - Qatar
The Katara Multi-Purpose Hall in Doha, Qatar, is a grand and imposing building that is hard to miss. Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, and opened in 2009, this 20,000-square-meter building is made of steel, glass and stone. Its striking silhouette and modern design stand out among the more traditional buildings in the area. Situated at the very edge of the ocean, the hall features spectacular views of the Persian Gulf, which can be admired from its terraces and many exterior balconies. From inside, you can take in the many culture and art performances presented at the auditorium, or explore the numerous galleries and exhibitions. The Katara Multi-Purpose Hall also houses a large shopping area, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and stores to explore. There’s also a kids’ area, complete with slides and a climbing wall.
