Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area is located 4 miles south of Lincoln Beach in the beautiful Central Oregon Coast. It features a sheltered cove, sandy beach and rocky shoreline perfect for exploring, fishing, swimming and picnicking. The area is open year round, and there is easy access from Highway 101. The recreation area has a large day-use area offering restroom facilities, picnic tables, a playground and charcoal grills. A short walk down the steps and you'll be on the beach, where sea-stacks, driftwood, cliffs and sea stacks make a great spot for sunbathing and taking in the views of the ocean. You can also watch for sea lions, tufted puffins, sea otters and seals, along with migrating and resident birds. For the adventurous souls, there's a trail that leads to a secret spot called Fogarty's Caves- a spot under an arched rock face and an ocean view ideal for sightseeing and wildlife viewing.
