Bernkastel-Kues is a picturesque town located in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the banks of the Mosel, a river that flows through Germany, Luxembourg and France. The town consists of two distinct parts; the old part of Bernkastel and the new part of Kues. The most notable landmark of the town is the medieval castle, which is still clearly visible from different vistas.
