The façade of the Battistero is bordered by four statues that each represent one of the four patron saints of Pisa and is made up of a mosaic depicting the baptism of Jesus Christ in the river Jordan. Inside, visitors appreciate the intricate mix of art, frescos, and sculpted works of art. Opposite to the Battistero, visitors can find the Camposanto Monumentale (Monumental Cemetery).
