Annecy - From Muelle, France
Annecy is a beautiful city in the Haute-Savoie region of southeast France. It is a popular tourist destination for its picturesque setting amidst the foothills of the Alps, stunning scenery, and the picturesque Lac d'Annecy (Lake Annecy). The turquoise-blue waters of the lake, made up of mostly melted glaciers, provide a stunning vista throughout the city. The town is full of medieval and renaissance architecture, including its old town, which is home to the 12th century Palais de l’Isle and the Town Hall, a 16th century building. The old bridges, cobblestone streets and alleyways, and facades of lovely pastel-colored houses, provide plenty of opportunities for photography and exploration. Annecy is also known for its canal, which stretches through the width of the old town, adding a unique feature to the cityscape. Near the lake, several gardens and parks offer peaceful walks and picturesque views. There are also many monuments, ranging from churches to canals, to enjoy, capture on camera, and immortalize.
