Þingvellir National Park

Þingvellir National Park, situated in Thingvellir, Iceland, is a remarkable place, especially prized by photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. UNESCO World Heritage Site, Þingvellir is the site of the historic Althing, Iceland's assembly that dates back to 930 and is the oldest still existing parliament in the world. It is also the only spot on earth where you can literally walk where two tectonic plates meet! Other photo-worthy attractions to check out are the beautiful Lake Þingvallavatn, stunning volcanic formations, mountains, and waterfalls, plus historic sites like the old Parliament House, Law Rock, and Öxarárfoss Falls.
