Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan is an important Buddhist temple situated in the old quarter of Bangkok, in Thailand. The temple is better known as Wat Pho and is renowned for its significant amount of Buddha images. The temple dates back to the 16th century, during the Ayutthaya Kingdom when it was known as Wat Pho Sri Nakhon. The temple complex contains a great variety of buildings including the ordination hall, the temple library, four separate complexes for Buddha images, a museum, and a massage school. The grounds of the temple are a photographer's paradise with its ornate buildings, golden statues, and beautifully landscaped gardens. The temple is also famous for the giant bronze statue of a reclining Buddha, which is 46 meters long and 15 meters high.
