Soroca Fortress is a historic defensive structure located in the city of Soroca, Moldova. It was built in the 15th century and served as a fortification against invading forces. The fortress is considered to be one of the best-preserved medieval monuments in the country. It features a unique pentagonal shape and is surrounded by a moat. Visitors can explore the various levels of the fortress and learn about its history. The views from the top are breathtaking and offer great photo opportunities. Make sure to also visit the nearby Soroca Clock Tower, a symbol of the city. The fortress is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission fees apply. It is recommended to bring comfortable shoes as there are stairs and uneven surfaces to navigate. Don't forget your camera to capture the stunning views of the Dniester River and the surrounding countryside.
