Schloss Hellbrunn and Schlossgarten are a stunning historic estate located just outside the city of Salzburg, Austria. The focal point of Schloss Hellbrunn is the palace, which was originally built in 1615 as a hunting lodge for the prince-archbishops of Salzburg. Today, it houses a museum with the history of the prince-archbishops, beautiful china and porcelain artworks, and royal clothing of the time. Visitors can also view the lavish bedrooms, library, and grand sculptures.

The gardens of Schloss Hellbrunn and Schlossgarten offer some of the most beautiful and historic grounds in Salzburg. They feature an expansive lawn, a pond, several fountains, and over a hundred mountain pine trees. You’ll also find a replica of the Villa Rotunda, a famous Baroque villa designed by the eighteenth-century architect Andrea Palladio. The gardens also house a botanical garden with over a thousand exotic plants from all across Europe. Schloss Hellbrunn and Schlossgarten are open to the public, and they make a great day out for visitors.
