Praia das Sardinhas

Praia das Sardinhas, or Sardine Beach, is one of the most picturesque, remote and secluded beaches in Caniçal, Portugal, located just off of the Atlantic coastline. This truly special beach offers views of jagged cliffs, bright sands and crystal clear waters, making it a great choice for nature-lovers and photography-enthusiasts alike. Going to the beach can be an adventure in itself, considering you have to take a boat through the fish pools in the area before reaching the beach. This beach is an ideal spot for fishing and swimming during the summer months, with a winding path and stairways on the cliffs beside the shore for those wishing to explore a little further. Although it is mostly quiet, there are also a few small bars and kiosks nearby, as well as some places to stay so you can extend your stay as much as you'd like.
