Pirate Cove Research Reserve

The Pirate Cove Research Reserve in Depoe Bay is a small marine reserve, located at the Lovers Point Resort, one of the most picturesque areas of the Oregon Coast. It covers an area of 5 acres, and includes some of the most interesting geological features of the area, such as sea caves, sandstone cliffs, and tide pools. The cove itself is excellent for spotting creatures of the sea, with some rare species such as whales, seals, sea lions, and eagles. Its protected shoreline is also a great beach for swimming, relaxing, and other beach activities. There are no parking fees, but visitors should park within the designated area and adhere to all posted signage.
