Piazza III Novembre

Piazza III Novembre is one of the main sights in the beautiful town of Riva del Garda, which lies at the edge of Lake Garda in northern Italy. This lovely piazza, dedicated to the soldiers who died in World War I, sits at the foot of the old town walls, and provides a stunning backdrop of scenic views with the snow-capped Alps framing the horizon on the one side, and the languid blue waters of the lake on the other. At the heart of the piazza lies the Monumento alla Vittoria, a tall, graceful marble column of a female figure symbolizing victory which was erected to remember the fallen soldiers. Apart from this, the piazza is adorned with cobblestone streets, al fresco restaurants, hillside gardens, and remains a popular spot for visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery and soak in the relaxed Italian atmosphere.
