Old ENCI Factory

The Old ENCI Factory ("Nederlandse Cement Industrie", N.V) in Maastricht, Netherlands is a 19th century former cement factory, abandoned in 1997. The huge red-brick factory is located along the Vouch river, among the stunning landscapes of the Dutch hills. The factory offers beautiful views, various photo opportunities and a vivid industrial atmosphere. It is especially appreciated by urban explorers who seek in its ruins remnants of the forgotten era. The factory has several entrances and is normally open to the public, but the recommended route is through the official entrance near the highway. Be aware, however, that these grounds are private and security guards are present in the area.
