MARTa Herford

MARTa Herford, is a contemporary art museum in Herford, Germany. Founded in 2002, the museum houses a permanent collection of around 1300 works by international artists. Exhibitions, art projects and a variety of events are held in the Museum’s galleries and foyers. The museum focuses on contemporary art exhibitions and features a library of media art and art books. Aside from the exhibitions, the museum has a collection of more than 500 works of design and art objects. The MARTa also cooperates closely with schools, universities, and other art institutions.
