Loch Linnhe is an inlet of Scotland's longest sea loch, located in Highland Council, United Kingdom. It is the second largest by area in the country and has a rugged, rocky shoreline with high cliffs and numerous islands. Surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, the loch has excellent fishing, sailing, and canoeing opportunities. The region is a great place to watch wildlife such as otters and birds, while its waters also contain an abundance of seals and dolphins. The area is ideal for hikers, with a range of routes on both land and sea. Much of the region is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and it is important to follow the access rules. Additionally, the loch is steeped in Celtic mythology, with stories collated between 1834 and 1848.
