Letras de Montevideo is a colorful mural art located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The artwork is fashioned as bright, jumbo-sized letters of the national language Español, brought to life amid a vibrant blue sky. It was created by local artist Carlos Praci as part of the government’s public art initiative in the city in 2019 and adds a cheerful, artistic touch to this bustling Uruguay capital. Seen from the banks of the River Plate, the mural can be admired from afar, or observed up close on a walk through the historic Barrio Reus neighborhood.
