Le Moléson

Le Moléson is a mountain in the Swiss Alps, located in Gruyères about 94 km from Bern. With an elevation of 2,002 meters, Moléson offers exceptional views of the valley and summits of both the Valaisan Alps and Swiss Prealps, as well as the lake of Gruyères. Its highest peak, Dent de Lys, is accessible in summer using the mountain railway to La Chaux. The trek to La Chaux is a moderate climb through meadows and pastures with amazing views of the Alps and the french-speaking part of Switzerland. The view of the old chalets and the country scenes around the summit of Le Moléson make it a fantastic place to visit. Other attractions include the alpine botanical gardens and the observatory.
