Lago de Puebla de Arenoso

Lago de Puebla de Arenoso is situated in the northwest of the province of Valencia, Spain and makes up part of a natural park, Sierra de Espadan. Surrounded by several other smaller lakes, it provides a tranquil refuge for hikers, bikers, and nature lovers. It offers an ideal spot for birdwatching and is also home to some of the rarest species of orchid, Cephalanthera Rubra. The lake itself offers plenty of peace and quiet, so it can be the perfect place to relax with a picnic. There is a spot to hire kayaks, which can be the perfect way to explore the lake’s surroundings. Nearby there is also the Cueva del Palmar, a limestone cave with incredible rock formations and rock art. The most popular way to get here is to drive from Valencia, which is just a 40-minute drive away.
