Ehrenmal Wittringen is a memorial and park located in Gladbeck, Germany. Built to commemorate the fallen WWI soldiers from the region, it has become a popular place for locals and tourists alike. The complex known as Zitadelle and comprises of multiple monuments, including a 100-foot tower where the remains of 25 unidentified soldiers were interred in 1923. There are also two chapels which house paintings, memorial plagues and crosses. The park area has numerous walking paths, a pond and garden. The Ehrenmal and surrounding park is perfect for a leisurely stroll or to simply relax and appreciate the peace and tranquillity.
