Duivelsgrot

The Duivelsgrot is a unique cave located next to a small and peaceful temple in the city of Maastricht, Netherlands. The cave is thought to have been created thousands of years ago and is almost entirely filled with stalactites and stalagmites. It is one of only a few places in Europe that still contains traces of cultural and archaeological finds from the Stone Age, Roman era and Middle Ages. The Cave is open to the public and visitors can explore its fascinating features and impressive formations in a friendly and educational atmosphere. Other attractions in the surrounding area include a Dutch Garden, lakeside walks, a picnic area and some interesting rock formations.
