Craters of the Moon

Craters of the Moon is an impressive landscape in Taupō, New Zealand. Formed by volcanic activity and the crystallization of salt and limestone, the landscape is like no other. You can explore this salty wonderland on foot, taking in the other-worldly views while marveling at the multitude of unique geographical formations. You’ll find numerous salt lakes and ponds in between narrow pathways of solidified lavas, craters, and eruptive chimnery.
