Colchuck Lake

Colchuck Lake is a beautiful alpine lake located on the eastern edge of the Enchantments region of the Wenatchee National Forest in Leavenworth, United States. It is 7.2 miles one-way from the Stuart Lake trailhead, and the trailhead is located in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area. The lake is located at the base of Dragontail Peak and other jagged peaks. Colchuck Lake is a popular destination for hikers and photographers. The lake has stunningly clear waters and is surrounded by granite spires and peaks. The trail is largely on exposed open ridge line and passes by a few backcountry glacial lakes, including Colchuck Lake, before arriving at the summit.
