Chiesa del Cristo

Chiesa del Cristo is a beautiful church located in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Built in 1602, the Baroque-style church dominates the city skyline with its impressive bell tower. The facade is ornately painted and features a marble pattern of stairs. Inside, the ceiling and walls are adorned with paintings and stucco works depicting scenes from the Bible. The church is devoted to Christ Crucified and each Sunday there is a procession of candles in which he is carried around the city. Visitors will be able to admire the organ from 1745, plus marble and wooden altars, and numerous statues and reliefs. A must for visitors of this lovely city!
