Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (VT Station) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Mumbai, India. An iconic railway station, it was designed by British architect Frederick William Stevens in the late 19th century, and is a prime example of Victorian-Gothic Revival architecture. The station covers an area of around 280,000 square feet, and has 18 platforms. Notable sights around this station include a clock tower, and a number of sculptures and columns in the Indo-Saracenic style. The station serves as the headquarters of the Central Railway. It is one of the busiest railway stations in India with up to 3 million passengers passing through every day.
