Castelo de Almourol

Situated in the Tejo river, just about 30 km away from Lisbon, the Almourol castle is a magnificent mix of history, legends and romanticism. Built during the medieval period, this castle owes its architecture to daily life within the Order of the Knights Templar, who built the walls. It stands as a reminder of the Order's struggles and an ethereal representation of the period.
