Burney Falls

Burney Falls is a stunning 129 foot high waterfall situated in McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, in the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California. This natural wonder was created by an underground river that flows over volcanic basalt and creates a misty spray at the base of the falls. The State Park is one of the oldest parks in the California state park system, and has been enjoyed by thousands of visitors since 1921. The falls are easily accessible via numerous hiking tracks and trails in the park, and is worth visiting for its spectacular views and peaceful atmosphere. The park also offers picnic areas, wildflowers, wildlife, and a crystal-clear lake for swimming.
